Intense, dark, ruby red color. Syrah emerges first and provides intensely dark flavors with hints of spice and pepper. Grenache makes it juicier, adds complexity and tempers the Syrah and Mourvèdre provides nicely structured but soft tannins and gives it a wild edge. Despite these 3 powerhouses, the wine remains refined and elegant with an interesting mineral undertone. Roussillon at its most complete!
Lamb (from the Pyrenees) cannot think of a better companion but also delicious with matured entrecote, fine game like roebuck or doe, rabbit, roast pigeon and spicy and intensely flavored cheeses.
